On August 23rd I posted this paragraph and photo and paragraph about Ted Gifford of Port Townsend, Washington:

On the ferry I met Ted Gifford, a retired physician of “nearly 70” who had ridden to visit his son following a six week tour. He gave me a tour (“my first as a tour guide!”) of Port Townsend, and then we rode together toward Fort Townsend State Park, where I camped for the night. He told me that the US had built multiple forts in the area during WWII, fearing a Japanese submarine invasion. Ted was in magnificent shape, with tanned, well-muscled legs from cycling – an inspiration to me to keep healthy and active for as many years as possible.

This morning I received this comment message:

Allan,

This is being sent to you by one of the nurses in the ICU at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton WA. Answer to a prayer, Marantha; I have a dissecting thoracic aneurysm manifested by severe back pain that came on Monday while kayaking. I am stable in the hospital and all should be well. Will contact you when I get out. I’ll take all the prayer you can give me. Stay safe you are in a difficult territory.

Ted

I’m posting this message here to spread Ted’s request for “all the prayer you can give me”. Please pray for Ted’s quick and full recovery
